The Lent Night Show
12 Youth and 2 Chaperones are participating in the March for Life in Washington D.C. from our Parish with Archbishop Nienstedt.
Culture Shock is a fun-filled event, in which youth get the opportunity to enjoy popular media, and then critically consider its content. As with many things in today's world, most modern media contains both good and evil, and in today's media saturated world, we all need to develop the skills to carefully discern the content of the media we take in on a day to day basis. In response to St. Paul's call to "Hold on to what is good, and reject every kind of evil," Culture shock enables our youth to continue to enjoy movies, music, tv, and the like, all while viewing it through the lens of their Catholic faith.
At each Culture Shock event, youth will enjoy modern media, and, as a group, draw out the moments and messages that reflect their faith, and then carefully consider the messages that contradict our faith, and work together to to respond to these messages.
Culture Shock Events are held throughout the school year. Watch this page, the Youth Booth, and the weekly bulletin for upcoming events.
