2014 Denver Mission Trip & Steubenville Conference

Denver Pilgrimage Day 1:

After 17 Hours of traveling in a coach bus with Subway for lunch, Pizza Hut for dinner, 4 rest stops, a triple Rainbow, and Mass… The pilgrims have arrived in Denver Safely!

Denver Pilgrimage Day 2:

After an exhausting travel day the pilgrims were up at 6am to start their day off right with Jesus at Mass and then lots of outdoor work from pulling weeds, visiting the elderly and staining a fence and lots and lots of cleaning! What a grace-filled group! God is good. Keep praying for us and the people we serve.

Denver Pilgrimage day 3:

Today we finished out most of our projects at the 6 different work sites and then enjoyed the 3D I-Max film Jerusalem at the Denver Museum. After dinner we spent time in adoration and received AMAZING GRACE from the sacrament of reconciliation. We are looking forward to our fun day tomorrow at the Garden of the gods and Pikes Peak!

Denver Pilgrimage day 4:

Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods!

The Hunger started in 1998 with the goals of:

  • Supporting Catholic Missions
  • Birthing missionary hearts in those who participate
  • Helping parishes and participants recognize our responsibility to those less fortunate
  • To learn about the condition of our own heart
  • Offer a wholly Catholic fasting program supporting all stages of life

We have come to believe:

  • Everyone is called to mission simply by virtue of being a member of the Body of Christ. The way this is takes place is endless from going on a mission to supporting missions and missionaries financially; by donating items or by working within organizations to change laws or conditions.
  • When one goes on mission, one goes and does what needs to be done. (not necessarily what one wants to do)
  • When one goes on mission, one goes with whoever else is going and discovers friends through the experience.
  • God will birth missionary hearts in those who participate and allow Him to work through your hands.
  • Prayer is foundational to action.
