St. Patrick's Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic parish located in the
Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The church has an active liturgical schedule
and is involved in many social programs in and around the Anoka County area.

A Brief History

In 1850, priests began to visit Cedar Creek to say Mass. In 1862, a parishioner
donated the $78.00 he had received for a crop of hay to the new church Building Fund.
That first gift bought the lumber for the church. The church is still there today.
In 1973, Fr. John Donahue was assigned as St. Patrick’s new pastor. 301 families
were registered at St. Patrick's at this time. In three years we grew to over 560 families,
mostly young couples ages 25-35 years. They were very supportive of the new
St. Patrick’s building, which was dedicated on December 5, 1976, by Bishop Roach.
In 2001, the completion of the new addition of a worship space and gathering space
was dedicated on November 18, 2001 by Bishop Pates. Today our worship is shared
by over 2100 registered families.
