Participants in the Sharing & Caring Hands Ministry at St. Patrick Catholic Church prepare and serve a nourishing meal several times a year at Sharing & Caring Hands in Minneapolis, MN. We are one of 60 different congregations, businesses, and charitable groups in the area that help this organization serve over 240,000 meals each year to individuals, families, and children in need. Sharing & Caring Hands does not accept government funding, and so they rely on the support of volunteers as well as private donors. Becoming a Sharing & Caring Hands volunteer is an excellent way to make a difference in the lives of others and to represent Christ in the community.
There are many ways to help. Volunteers are needed to purchase and prepare food, deliver, set up, serve and clean up afterwards. If you are unable to participate on the day of service, you can still contribute to the meal by dropping off bars or cookies in the church kitchen to serve as dessert.
St Patrick’s serves at Sharing & Caring Hands on the second Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September and
November. Contact Kandy at 763.753.4685 or email huncovsky@comcast.net or Anna at 763.753.9500 or email at greenfamily5@q.com
Cookies and bar donations need to be dropped off at our St. Patrick’s kitchen by 10:00 of our scheduled date.
