Father John T. Bauer and the Pastoral Council started parish cemetery discussions in early 1984. Anna Collins donated five acres for the cemetery and construction was started in mid 1985, just east of the church building among the evergreens.
Since 1985, the Cemetery Committee of St. Patrick's Church has facilitated many improvements. These include lights, a sign at the entrance to the cemetery, the installation of water sprinklers and three flag poles. Today the cemetery is a beautiful area where
deceased loved ones can be laid to rest. Simple and charming, the cemetery
offers a Celtic cross near its center, a bird bath of St. Francis of Assisi near its entrance, and many stately trees that help define its boundaries. We invite you to visit our cemetery in the near future.
Thanks to donations from the people of St. Patrick's, the Children's Memorial for the cemetery is completed from the sculptor in Italy. The memorial is made from a piece of Swan Mist granite from India. The verse below is engraved on the memorial.
In Memory of all our Children
Born and unborn
Who died too young and too soon
As you rest in the
Arms of God
You are in our hearts
Forever
The People of St. Patrick
