Parishioners of St. Patrick’s, and their friends, are invited to join us at the church for the Celtic Cafe, normally held
on the third Wednesday of each month. It provides an opportunity for adults to gather together for a simple lunch and wholesome social interaction. All adults are welcome to attend. Cost is $3.50, and reservations are required by the Monday before the event. Lunch is served promptly at noon and a program or activity usually follows. It’s a great way to meet friendly people, and enjoy a great lunch. Call the office for reservations.
Celtic Cafe is a great outreach ministry aimed at mature adults. Although any adult is welcome, the target is primarily seniors in the early years of their retirement. Volunteers prepare and serve a wholesome lunch, and clean up afterwards. Additional volunteers are needed for telephoning, selling tickets, decorating, making desserts, and helping plan the program or activity that follows. Celtic Cafe is held once a month on the third Wednesday at noon. The time commitment for volunteers is minimal, averaging about two hours a month. It is low key and friendly and participants are a great group of fun people. To volunteer, contact Maria King at mkingfamily@q.net.
