Randy Bauer was born and raised in Durand, Wisconsin, attended college at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and then moved to Detroit Lakes in 1971. He and his wife, Nancy, were married in 1972. They are the parents of five children ranging in age from 31 to 12.

Randy completed a Master's Degree in Pastoral Ministry at St. John's in 1993 and was ordained a deacon in September1993 for the Crookston Diocese.  He has been working in full-time parish ministry since that time. He worked in a six parish cluster where he had deacon and administrative assignments in four parishes. They moved to this area in August 2005 when Nancy took a position with Anoka County Public Health.

He is assigned as a deacon to St. Katharine Drexel parish in Ramsey. Archbishop Flynn gave him the additional assignment to serve as our Interim Parish Life Administrator from January 1, 2006 until our new pastor, Fr. David Blume, began May 1, 2006. He became our Parish Administrator effective July 1, 2006.

As Parish Administrator, Randy is responsible for dealing with the administrative issues of the parish. This includes overseeing the finances, building and grounds, personnel and other areas assigned to him by Fr. Blume. He encourages parishioners to contact him at any time with ideas, questions, suggestions, concerns or any other issues you care to address. Randy can be reached at 763-753-7636 or by email at RJBauer@st-patricks.org.
