Fr. David Blume began serving as our pastor on May 1, 2006, coming to us from St. Stephen's parish in Anoka, MN, where he served as Associate Pastor for two years. Ordained to the priesthood in May, 2004, Fr. Blume received his theological training at the St. Paul Seminary (1998-2004). Prior to seminary formation, he worked for many years in finance and project management positions for Honeywell and Alliant Tech Systems (1984-1998). He received an M.A. in Counseling from Bethel College (1998) and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls (1983). Fr. Blume attended Holy Name of Jesus in Medina for many years and was affiliated with Immaculate Heart of Mary in Minnetonka during his seminary formation. “I am honored to lay down my life to serve the people of God as a priest of Jesus Christ!”

Fr. Blume is a member of the Companions of Christ, an association of diocesan priests living in community. Prior to these years of community life he was a member of People of Praise, an interdenominational charismatic Christian community.
