When the country church built in 1862 could no longer hold our rapidly expanding community, it was decided to relocate the parish to a place where it could grow.  Anna Collins, an active, loyal parishioner and a women of profound faith, together with her husband, Irving Collins, donated a portion of the Collins family farm to St. Patrick's.  Under the leadership of Father John Donahue, a new church and education wing were constructed in 1976.  Father Donahue had an amiable style and deep spirituality that reached out to both young and old parishioners and in the nine years he was pastor, our parish increased by nearly three fold.  Anna and Irv would once again be generous to the people of St. Patrick's and donated the land that would become our St. Patrick's cemetery.  Discussions with the Parish Council began in early 1984, and construction on the cemetery began by mid 1985.  In 1992, the Parish Council was again discussing the need for more space as our membership grew.  Construction began in 2000 and our present church was dedicated on November 18, 2001.
